Another thing that everyone should know about me is that I am obsessed with tiny living. It isn’t in the cards for me right now but someday I hope to have a tiny house all of my own. This will be my future living arrangement—I am speaking it into existence. I don’t think I could do 200 square feet or anything like that but I like the idea of having a house that has only the features I want and need. I have been working for a start-up organization that is trying to do just that for people who want sustainable housing. (I will write more extensively about that soon!)
My sweet, wonderful, loving boyfriend knows this about me and when I went to go see him and his family in Arizona we stayed at a freaking tiny house!!! It was an old shipping container turned house and was absolutely adorable. This tiny home did not have a kitchen but was equipped with a mini fridge and utensils and of course, a coffee maker. The outside of the containers are painted with beautiful colors bringing the whole area to life. There were about four other “apartments” in the “complex” creating what was a tiny home village. They even had an outdoor bathroom which was amazing. It was one of the highlights of my trip and I was fascinated with the structure of it. This is just something special I wanted to share with you all since it is still so different in our society. I found the entire atmosphere to be incredibly peaceful and calming. I think from here on out we will only rent tiny homes when we travel, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The pictures of this place do not do it justice. I hope each and every one of you has the chance to experience tiny living if you can. It is truly a way to expand your mind.
