Resume Tip #1: Basics
Let's talk about basics for a second…

What is the difference between a resume and a CV?
A CV is typically much longer than a resume and gives a much broader view into your skills and your academic background. There is no length limit for a CV and the structure is a little different. It is very academic oriented and is used for a comprehensive overview with sentences instead of bullet points that would be used on a resume.
A CV is truthfully used as supplementation to a resume or is used instead of a resume for academic professions. A CV might also be included when applying to academic institutions, awards, honors, etc.
A resume on the other hand is a summary of your academic career as well as work experience and skills. There is usually a page maximum for a resume and a set of standards regarding the structure of it.
